CSV imports contain text delimiters

Hi all. Excellent app which I've used successfully before. I've two questions about import filters, which I'll post separately.
When importing from CSV the text delimiters (single or double quotes depending on what's in the file) are written into the database. Can anyone tell me how to strip them off?

The php csv functions have parameters to set the delimiters and quotes settings. You probably need to specify this.
