hmmm - Installer.php probs

Hi everybody,

I do not know if it is me - or everybody.

But I have downloaded the dataface tarballs, untared them on my site, and the installer.php is blank, also there is no templates or templates_c directories included in the tar ball.

Is that supposed to be that way - am I missing something else?

The instructions that I was following is the README.txt contained in the tarball.

++Installation Instructions

#Unpack the dataface-xx.xx.xx.tar.gz file and copy the resulting dataface file to a location inside your web server's document root.

#Make the dataface/Dataface/templates_c directory writable by the web server. (an unsafe way to do this is chmod 777 templates_c)

#Point web browser to http://yourdomain.com/path/to/dataface/dataface_info.php to confirm that installation is successful.

Okay - further perusal of the directory structure, there is a dataface directoy in the dataface directory that seems to have a valid installer file.

I will try that and see what goes boom.

Not sure how far along you are in this at this point. You don't need to run any installer in the dataface directory.
If you are getting a blank page in the installer.php file of webauction you should check your error log - and/or move along to the manual installation instructions.

The install instructions you recited from the dataface readme file are correct. Are you getting a blank page when you point your browser to dataface_info.php?
