Smarty directives inside LCMS pages?

Postby ccrvic » Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:14 pm

Hi All.

Hope this forum is still alive - seems a bit quiet lately...

I've got a cunning idea for a web site based on LCMS - but I need a few pages to be built from some SQL queries.

I was rather hoping to be able to do loops & suchlike in a standard Smarty stylee - but from within the LCMS page.

It doesn't work if I just put the code into the page content (It's not rendered, just printed).

Am I on a hiding to nothing here?

Sorry.. In the existing release of LCMS there is no support for smarty tags in the pages. I have made derived works from LCMS that allowed you to specify the name of a template optionally for a page that would be used instead of the page content. But I don't think the existing version has that feature. I'll see if I can dig out a snippet to show you how to make this mod.

Hi Steve,

Did you ever get round to showing how to specify a template on a per page basis?

I too would like to include smartys tags within certain pages.

Also, is there a more recent release than 0.1 ?

Many thanks, Tom
