Subversion Access

Postby shannah » Fri Feb 08, 2008 3:15 pm

It has been a long time since I have produced a release of Xataface. This is the result of being too busy on projects that use the framework and not having enough time to dot my 'i's and cross my 't's to get the framework out there.

There have been countless improvements in that time, all of which require documentation before I can release the next version. There are also a few pending glitches that need to be sorted out.

Though there is no release ready, I have set up a public subversion repository with the latest sources for all you eager beavers that can't wait to get at it.

The repository is located at https://weblite.ca/svn/dataface

You can check out the latest version using your subversion client using the command

svn co https://weblite.ca/svn/dataface/core/trunk xataface
(that will check it out into a directory named 'xataface').

You can browse the repository at http://xataface.com/svn . There are even RSS feeds for each directory and file if you want to be notified of changes.

You'll notice that I have organized the directory structure to separate modules and documentation from the core. A lot of work has been done to make the Dataface core more pluggable so in the future, a lot of additions that don't belong in the core, will be added as separate modules.

Ultimately I would like to open it up to others' contributions so that the project can benefit more from the open source philosophy.
