Saved Search - Notification By Email?

Postby scottdev » Sat Nov 20, 2010 9:35 am

Wondered if there were plans to add a feature where the user could save a search and be notified by email when an items is posted for auction that matches there search request?

Would it be "doable" to add code to do this in terms of open-source?

You could use the RSS feed for this purpose. The link is turned off by default, but you could easily add a link to the feed in your template. Given any URL in the auction, just change -action=list to -action=feed to get the RSS feed for the same results.
