how to add a cateogry?

Hi,
I have just installed web auction and I was wondering if somebody could tell me how I can insert a new product category (detailed if possible as I am not an IT guru)

Once you are logged in as an admin, you click on the "Add Category" link on the left side.

I tried to log in as an admin and as a new user but the log in doesnt work. I always return back to the login page?!?

The username and password to login as admin are contained in the readme file. The username and password are both case sensitive.

I tried it with username:admin and password: password. Didnt work..?

What is the URL to your install so I can take a look. Hard to speculate where the problem lies without a few details.
