Porting Issue

Postby ngms27 » Tue Jan 15, 2013 2:46 am

I developed an Application using Windows 2008R2 with xampp.

I've got to the point where I now want to put the application into Production on a Ubuntu 12.04 Server.
I've set up the LAMP stack and it tests OK.
I've imported my Database, Application and Xataface Folders
I've given Apache permissions to write to the template_c folders
The user name and password for MySQL are identical to on the Windows host
Phypmyadmin is working, the database looks like it's imported correctly
he Xataface Info page is working

When I try and access my application I do get the logon screen.
When I enter credentials the screen just goes blank.
I turned off Auth in the conf.ini file and I just get the blank screen.

How do I debug this to establish where the issue lies?

I've managed to fix my own issue.

Looking at the Apache logs it was throwing an exception for the table Users not existing. I had it at Users in Windows which isn't case sensitive, but the actual table is users. Amended conf.ini and it's burst into life!
