Upgrading From 1.1.2 [Solved]

Postby jhenry » Thu Mar 11, 2010 7:05 am

I did not find any info specific to an upgrade from 1.1.2 so am I correct in saying I should just back up all my config files and run the install as new and then restore the config files?

TIA
Jason

Hi Jason,

If you haven't made any changes to your 1.1.2 install, then you should be able to just replace your 1.1.2 install with the latest.

So it will leave the config files in the tables directory and the conf.ini in place for the specific database I am using?

Yes. Normally my set-up is like:

myapp/
|--- conf.ini
|--- tables/
| |---- table1/
| |---- table2/
| +---- table3/
+--- dataface/

So replacing just the dataface directory should allow you to leave everything else intact.
