Relationships

Postby cyberws » Thu Sep 17, 2009 2:49 pm

Hi Community.

I have two questions I am hoping someone can help with and many thanks ahead of time.

1) On the display screen for an item I would like to format the data. For example I have URL stored in a column and I would like to make it clickable.

2) Is it possible on the display screen to code in an extra data pull. I know about the relationships tab. But say when viewing the detail list can there be an insert that says for example Posts: 312.

Thanks.

1. Use the xxx__renderCell() delegate class method for your field:

2. The easiest and most flexible way is to create a custom section:

Thanks.

I have to say Xataface rocks. I want to thank Shannah for such a powerful system. It is so powerful and flexible I have trouble finding all the calls and am learning new calls all the time. :)

I will say I was looking for the htmlValue to format the display tab and your input help put me on the right track. I admit I am in awe with the system you have created. It has save me hundreds of hours in project time by allowing me to off load gui design to Xataface.

In my fact many projects that were on the waiting list have come to life since I don't have to program a frontend. So my hat is off to you Shannah. Thank you for such a great program!!!

I look forward to the continuing develop such as PHP 5.x optimization. I hope you won't have to change to much to get it to work with PHP 5.3 which has some radical changes in the engine unlike 5.2.x (which is what we currently run).

For future versions I do hope to see more support for Unixtime.

Xataface rules its roost.
