i've searched around and saw similar posts, but not a solution for this situation. i have a many to many relationship between projects and people. right now everything is working fine except that when you add an existing person to a project, the select list contains only their last name field, whereas i would like to use 'last, first'.

i found a couple of posts about concatenating in the sql and using a valuelist, however these were for 1-m it seemed. i tried adding the custom valuelist to my m-m table folder and applying the select widget to the 'people' id portion of the relationship in the fields.ini for my 'project to people' table. i also tried putting the valuelist definition in various other places with no success.

Hi Roland,

Dataface has no concept of an n to n relationship. Only 1 to n. An n to n relationship is modeled by 2 x 1-to-n relationships. One from each side of the relationship.

So in your case, you would create 2 valuelists. One for each side of the relationship.
