Documentation, Search, and New User Intro.

I am a new user of Dataface, as you can probably tell from my forum posts over the past few days. I have used other similar tools in the past, including DaDaBIK, FileMaker, ThinkDB / SmartList To Go (SLTG) on the Palm, etc. These are all great programs for various reasons, but for the web, Dataface blows them away in terms of flexibility. I also looked into a few other frameworks like RoR, CakePHP, and Django, but they all have a steeper learning curve and are more geared towards developers.
When I first downloaded Dataface (version 0.7.1), I was directed to the new site at Data-face.com, which had the following message:
Since then, I have worked heavily on setting up a new application with Dataface, using mostly cached / archived copies of bits and pieces of the docs that I found in various places online. This morning, I see a new "Documentation" tab on the web site, and all I can say is WOW!
I am thoroughly impressed over how much thought and work has gone into this framework, especially Steve's wonderful effort in supporting it. In particular, thanks being so responsive to my newbie posts in the forums so quickly, in spite of the fact that you were obviously working hard to get the docs posted in this new format at the same time.
Also, I noticed that I can now search everything also! The integrated search box on the web site returns results from both the documentation and forums simultaneously! This is a huge time-saver to all Dataface users, and I for one appreciate it tremendously. I expect I will have a lot fewer questions now that most of them are so easily answered in these other places. Then again, that may just spark more questions too....
I look forward to seeing Dataface continue to grow over the next several years, and I will offer my support wherever possible.
Thanks!
Alan

This site is currently being migrated into a new content management system. Much of the documentation is temporarily unavailable, however the forum has been reopened and the rest of the documentation will be made available as soon as possible.
