Dataface LCMS looks to be a fantastic tool if the output from weblite is any demonstration of its capabilities. Is it built entirely in dataface? Does it use actions? Delegate classes? Definitely something we will all be excited about in the future. Most especially if it has Dataface at its core.

I agree - very impressive. I need to redevelop our web site and this looks very interesting. My only question is how easy it will be for a non-expert programmer ...

Can't see how to download it though ... Just gone around in circles for 5 minutes trying to get to the download!

Sorry about that.. I haven't put up a download link yet... Thought I'd put it out there and see if there was any interest first... I guess there is. I'll put it up by the end of the week.
As far as details. I believe that it should be fairly easy for a non-programmer to use. It is essentially just a database with a 'pages' table and a 'sidebars' table, with a little bit of fancy magic done by mod_rewrite to make integrate with the normal file system.
Definitely a good little system to demo dataface. It served my purposes for translate.weblite.ca

There is definitely a LOT of interest in this project bro. My personal desire is to have as much contained within Dataface itself. I've registered dataface-apps.com (and datafaceapps.com) with the sole purpose of hosting apps written in dataface. Or linking to apps written in dataface. As this gets easier, and more programmable, I think you will see an explosion of Apps written in dataface. This is much much better than downloading php programs and trying to modify them to fit our needs.
Thank you kindly.

Mr. Steve,
In an email regarding the CMS that you had on your mind (from back in May), you had mentioned that you needed to add support for surrogate views before this could happen. I think also that I've read somewhere in the docs, perhaps for Delegate classes, that this exists. If so, is your LCMS based upon those surrogate views? (Or is it more accurate to say, that what I recall is that there is not much support yet for surrogate views?)
BTW..I think a lof of us are getting more excited as the days go on about dataface...

To make a full-featured CMS like where you can add custom content types, surrogate views would be helpful. LCMS is a "Little" CMS. It has one built-in content type, "page" that allows you to add web pages to the site. This does not require surrogate views. A feasible alternative to surrogate views would be better support for one-to-one relationships which is under construction as we speak.

hehe... I had forgotten that I had a wedding to attend this past weekend so I didn't have the time that I thought I would have to get this released.. I basically just need to write some docs and give it a once-over before it will be ready to post... I'm tied up for the next couple of days, so it could be Thursday before I'll have a chance to release it.
Best regards
Steve

Any update Steve? I want to use LCMS for a website re-write, but I've got a window of opportunity that closes early next week :-;!
