comments in the history table entries

Your not missing anything Mr. Roland. The history functionality is new and while the fields are all there, all of them are not used currently. I would recommend accessing the history tables from another dataface program to add whatever info you want. For now.
Ive also finally implemented a fully sql stored procedures based history feature that I will be posting the code for later on this week. Using a stored procedure/trigger makes sure that the history table is updated whenever a record is inserted, updated or deleted even outside of dataface.
One note. If you use dataface to read its history tables you should be ok. But if you want to use it to make changes to a history record, you definitely need a seperate df app for that with the history feature turned off on the history app. Otherwise dataface tries to history the history table. This would actually work except that dataface uses the field history__id for the auto increment field. So if you use the df screens to change the info, the second history table created will have 2 history__id fields.
