I think there are other ajax chat clients around (haven't looked but I would assume so), these could be embedded in a dataface app just as any web technology could be...

Actually that would be good in the future to consider for your addons thing....when you have an addon technology completed...we could start adding modules that would link into dataface following certain steps...
